Pork chops and beets

I was finally home long enough to cook the other day. Dug out some boneless pork chops and some cheap beets I brought back from Chicago. Why is it that 3 beets in a bunch around here are $3.29 but I pick up 3 beets at the Polish grocery for 39 cents a pound? (Total of 96 cents).

Sorry about the crappy photos, I was using my phone for these.

Chops seasoned with Penzey's BBQ 3000 and Cajun. Beets got S&P and EVOO.

Timothy I have to be honest, I'm not into beets. on the other hand, I would mug you on Good Morning America for those chops. They look fantastic!
 
Chops look great. Mom used to make me eat beets. Oh no thank you. But if I was going to eat one it would be one in the picture.
 
Add me to the Beet Haters Club. And the Chop Lovers Club. It all looks great, but I'd eat that pork like it was my job. I still haven't recovered from childhood Harvard Beets. :eek:
 
Not sure I've ever had a beet. There was some beet sliders on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives the other night that looked interesting. This is the second time in a week I've wanted to try them. Everything looks great!
