Platinum side Burner delete and shelf repair

Yah, Weber used clips, but they are almost always gone. I have a supply of small zip ties that use on all my rehabs.

Putting that Left Hand Side top worktable on the right is a very tight fit with the nubs that it has. Going to have to find the right side or another left side and sand off the nubs to complete my task on the right side.

I think this looks great and more useful. I am not a fan of the side burner I do not use it much and It doesnot like windy days so like you I removed it. I havecstored away.

Well I put the left shelf on in the same manner that I put on right. It did improve it some.
However my comments are that this method is not very sustaining. When you move the grill and lift on either of the shelves they become lose again. I can semi fix this issue by retightening the bolts I put in. So my suggestion would be if you have another method in mind I would suggest you try that before you go the route I did for my fix is only temporary on tightening the bolts. I might try adding another nut on there to prevent the main one from loosening. Here are my results after moving the grill and putting back into its place.
