Pizza … the final frontier

7 inches of rain in the books … loving it here in northern california!! We soooo need it. But that puts the Genesis II and the WSK on hold.

So, I’m making a pizza I‘ve never made before for dinner … in a cast iron skillet.

Detroit style with porabella mushrooms, local organic olives, and Italian sausage on homemade Tony Gemignani recipe pizza dough. Nick Stellino’s pizza sauce.

Very TV star oriented, but that by coincidence. I’ve never done pizza in CI skillet in the oven…… will let you know how it turns out.

You’ll do just fine. It’s super easy.
 
I've done Detroit style in cast iron a few times, always turns out great. Yours sounds like it's going to be terrific. If you overdo it with the ingredients, it just turns into a pan full of 'stuff'.
