TVWBB All-Star
Hey TVWBB folks...Hope everyone is well. I'm not around as much as I'd like lately. I check out the forums almost every day, cook on a Weber almost every day, but not posting / replying enough. Got to get back to it!!
Today was a beautiful day in NC - low 70's and sunny. I had checked Craig's List earlier in the week looking for some smoke wood - found a tree guy who was really happy to help. So drove down a country road, out across the railroad tracks and into the woods. There was an old home - and TONS of wood. Anyway - filled the back of the suv up with pecan, hickory, apple and cherry for a few bucks. Also picked up an electric chainsaw...perfect for limbs and for cutting slabs of smoke wood for chunking. Got out the ax and started chunking...This is about 1/4th of the wood...maybe even less, what a great deal!

I tried some pecan out tonight with steak and burgers (did kettle fried chicken drumsticks earlier). Just got one photo, was scrambling a little - here is a T-bone seasoned with KS, P, Cumin and Adobo. Everything turned out great...

Have a great rest of the weekend folks!!
