Picked up some beef today.


 
I love BIG BEEF, rarely get it, wife does not give a hoot in HE double toothpicks about a nice slab of cow, a half inch New York darned near burned makes her happy, while I’m happy with a 1 9/16” ribeye is much more my speed. I could put them on at the same time and she would be completely happy.
That looks like dinner to me though!
 
Darryl, those steaks look great! I asked my wife to go to the local butcher on Saturday to pick up a standing rib roast for us. She came back with a 3 bone roast, 3 NY strips, and 2 Tomahawks! I was speechless! I gave them a liberal coating om my SPG mix and then added a little more ground pepper on them. Cooked them to an internal temp of 125° and then seared them for 2 minutes on each side on my hot smokey joe. Out of this world good! My son told me "This steak is so good, Gordon Ramsay would be proud!" Good luck with yours, I know you'll enjoy it and it will certainly be worth the wait!
