shopped my local Mexican grocer today, bought large chicken leg quarters at 89 cents a pound.
also bought two bottles of goya mojo picante marinade.
seems to be a marriage made in heaven.
after a six hour bath, i seasoned the quarters with a citrus rub. set up the :wsm: without the waterpan for a direct burn.

premature Yukon pot a toes were included.
for some reason, the :wsm: did not want to excede the two-eighty degree mark, butt i soon inflicted enough pain to shoot it well past the peak thermometer setting of 350ºF.

not too spicy at all, this marinade is going to be used again and again.
the chicken was perfectly moist and extremely flavourful.
and the super-small Yukons are way too much fun to eet.

i thank you for visiting, enjoy your new day

That looks muy bueno! I've never seen Mojo Picante, generally Mojo Criollo and the Chipotle. I'll have to keep an eye out.

The Goya marinade is fantastic, muy bueno! Our local Target sells it on occasion. When it's in stock I end up buying all the bottles I can find since they don't consistently stock it.
