Performer Deluxe Restoration


 
Truly amazing what you did with that lowly looking Performer after you picked it up. Wow! I'm with Steve too on that vintage , but what you did to it is what it should have looked like all along from Weber! The all back look with hammered metal long blending with the table is stunning! I can only imagine what you will do with a 1st gen SSP! And they do show up around here, so you'd have one to use for your house here.:blackperformer: I like those wood handle additions too! Wonder if he makes handles for a Q?

Calling it now, Josh will find an SSP that was stored in a shed, uncooked on because the guy decided he liked gas. And I can’t wait to see it!!

But in all seriousness, that thing is beautiful. I have hated that generation of performer and often thought about doing what you did to one. In my area I’d bet you could get $2-250 for that.
With your market, probably be able to get $450-500 for it.

His stuff appears to be top quality for sure. I can totally relate to someone who is a craftsman on his level. That stuff is gorgeous.

Thank you Dave! I'll try to get some decent pics of how I mounted the tank. I'm not sure if I'm going to change the mounting system at this point. I've kind of been playing around with some different ideas but for now I have two very strong magnets hooked on carabiners hooked to the top of the tank on each side magnetized to the bottom of the table.

He gave me a really good deal on everything. I decided to also try one of his Genesis x000 Walnut handles. So I'll have to report back on that also.

Quite easy actually. Just an adapter hose that goes from where are you regularly plug in the 1 lb disposable and then the other end of the house has a full size tank hookup. I was originally going to do a regulator delete on the Performer and then add a full size BBQ regulator hose but this would eliminate The adjustable flame regulator that's built in to Performer. So this time the easy route was actually better IMO.

They do very good work, too. Brian is the best in my book and has many more creative ideas.
