Peach Wood


 
Just purchased 17lbs of it (chunks) from Fruita Wood Chunks. Really looking forward to giving it a try. You just don't see peach wood in Los Angeles so the $31.00 is worth it to me. Lots of other woods on there that I'd like to try someday.
 
I've watched that show BBQ Pitmasters and a consistent winner from Georgia (Miron Mixon I think) uses peach wood exclusively.

I'll plan to check with some Friends around Ruston, LA. to harvest some Peach wood and give it a try. I can't believe the difference in the type of wood one uses vs the type of meat used.
 
I have just started using peach in the past 4 months and love it. I am using it on everything, and sometimes with a pecan mix.

Best smelling wood while it's cooking by far.
 
i really like the peach. doesn't impart a ton of smoke flavor. its good when mixed with pecan or others
 
I have some peach left over from a tree I removed a while back. I really like smoking with it.
