Paella!

I've seen a post or two about paella,and Pammi has dropped a couple of hints,so I made some tonight's n the Genesis!
First,the saffron broth.

And some corn and chorizo mise en plas.

And some grilled chicken breast,so I could say I grilled it!

Starting with the chorizo to get some more flavor in it.

And the rice gets added.

Oh my goodness! This was my best yet! AND,my oldest godson decided that he really does like shrimp! Winner,winner,paella dinner!:cool:
 
Nice!!! Just got a pan like yours about two weeks ago but I've been so busy I haven't got to it yet. Soon though. Great cook! We need to have a paella challenge :).
 
You had me at "paella", but you got me hook, line and sinker on that last pic.
 
looks good-- my friend and I did that last weekend on the gas grill because we thought it would have more even heat across that big pan vs. inside on my stovetop. It was fun! I'll have to try adding corn next time. I was worried about the red handles, and we covered mine in foil. Did you have any problem with them?
 
This is the recipe I use. It says serves six, but it was way too much for 4 hungry adults. I even halved the amount of clams and only got 2 chicken legs. It is really pretty easy, and looks so good on the table. Reheat extra the next day in the microwave and add more broth so it's not too sticky.

I wanted to get a few whole squid and char it on the grill while the paella was cooking, but the store only had the little calamari rings. :(
