One cold Valentine's Day!

Hello, fellows of the grill!
I've just found this site and am glad to find more grilling aficionados!
It's going to be pretty cold here tomorrow but, I have some lovely shrimp I will be grilling for my wife in honor of The feast of St. Valentine!
Interesting ideas being shared here, this might just be a ton of grilling fun!

Welcome Timothy. You say it been cold that's the best time to do some smoking or grilling it's pretty cold where I'm at .it does take more time and charcoal and watching the temp gauges that will be off by 25 to 50 degrees . the cold is not to bad for wsm but the wind and cold will rob your smoker of its heat. If you use the water pan it will use a lot more of charcoal to heat the water up to temp .I have been not useing water in the pan when it's cold and have had good results and plenty of heat .happy smoking and good eating

Welcome Timothy I just did a smoked roast beef in the cold yesterday. One good thing about bad weather days...nobody else is outside to complain about the smoke. Although, very few find the smell of smoked meat cooking to be disconcerting to begin with.

Thanks folks,
It was one below yesterday morning and we had to visit family out in the midst of the snow belt. By the time we got home it was snowing some and I just felt cold. Suffice to say, I am no stranger to cold weather grilling but, I did a sauté in the interest of speed, when it was time to eat.
Side question, how does one insert photos here, I know how on the "Mandolin Cafe" where the page design is almost identical but, am I still enough a "rookie poster" to not have that option...yet?
