OK I have a STINKY situation HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larry, that hole is for sure big enough for mice to get into, but maybe not big enough to get out of when they have grown.
Well the plan will be to stick the camera in there. See where that leads. Then caulk it up or cement it up.

Maybe I will see about that portland cement trick. Sprinkle some on the floor. Is it safe to use a shop vac to vacuum it up before I put the carpet back?

It's silica dust, you don't want to breathe it.
Specialty vacs with hepa filters we used when drilling and cutting concrete.

Funny story, when my son was a kid his bedroom had a horrible smell. We looked as each day it got worse. He said he didn’t smell anything! Finally I looked under his bed and found a tray of chicken guts from the previous week dinner. The cat must have gotten it and dragged it to his room. 😂 Problem solved. I feel your pain! We thought we had to move. 😵‍💫

Another funny story, my dad said he had a rat in his garage. It seemed like as long as I can remember he had a box of Decon on the work bench. After he passed I was cleaning out the garage and found a huge bright yellow rat flat as a pancake under his lumber stack. Apparently the rat was eating the poison that wasn't strong enough to kill but keep him alive and well except for the color change :ROFLMAO:. So unknowing my dad had a pet rat!

You “could” cut an “inspection panel” in the wall then use molding to reframe it when you put section of drywall back?🤔

Yes, I AM a charter member of the PPC (P—-Poor Carpenters)😁

Daughter's BF came here today with some type of deodorant chemical they use at Stanley Steemerr who he works for. Shot it around the house. Still have ionizer/ozone generator going and the air purifier. I also sprinkled all the baking soda I had in a bowl on the wood floor. Just checked. I'll be buttered and called a biscuit I think it's dissipating. 🤞 🤞 🤞 🤞 🤞 🤞
Just packing up to leave. I charged the battery on the O3 generator. It should be able to continue running that way until some time tomorrow AM.
Maybe I'll come home to a not smelly house? Still gonna run the larger O3 generator and do the inspection camera. But MAYBE my week long ordeal is coming to a close

Well I will be heading back to Casa de Aroma Morte' late this AM. I'll report back. I should have the new ozone generator by then and the inspection camera

I had a similar situation when a mouse got into the wall in our half bath and died. On the other side of the wall was a coat closet, and the small size of the closet, plus the fact that the door stayed closed most of the time, concentrated the smell inside of the closet. If I recall correctly we just periodically sprayed the inside of the closet (after removing the contents) with Lysol spray (which had proven its worth one summer when I left a package of squid in the trunk of my car over a weekend of 90 degree temperatures) and waited for nature to take its course.
