Of all the colors........

Is there any possibility of replacing the green bowl and lid on my SSP deluxe with an orange one? I keep hearing rumors that the gas assist is going away. Thanks to Weber, and you, for making an orange, though!
Hey Steve! The Burnt Orange Master-Touch lid will work, but it's the bowl that's the problem. Unfortunately, we do not make any Burnt Orange bowls that have the proper cut-outs for the burner tube or have the brackets for mounting into the frame.

Thank you John! I’m hoping to reward myself with a new bowl by my birthday in the spring. I’ll be flexible in my color choices- I don’t see any bowls and lids for sale unless they are attached to another frame and accessories. Do you think that might change so I can refresh my restoration?

I would think Weber sells performer specific replacements if you call them, or don't they?

Hi Steve, as Steve Hoch mentioned, you'll have to call in to order replacement bowls and lids as separate items. The current color options for Performer Deluxe bowls are copper, green, black, or crimson.

They certainly used to. I bought a green lid and bowl with the burner tube holes and burner tube included. I got it from a guy selling off some weber stuff he had. It was new in box when I bought it from him.

thank you, and Bruce, and Steve, and everyone who’s chimed in! Called Weber customer service, and the gentleman with whom I spoke was very helpful, and encouraging.
Seems the colors currently for replacement are green, black, and copper. And that’s fine, though I’d really, really like them to offer the burnt orange in a limited run. I would definitely pull that trigger.
I think the orange would really look super in this setup, with the upgraded black trimmed ash catcher.
I’m also looking at buying a 22” Smokey Mountain so I can do something like this…(picture below).
Then I can have a grill or comfortable height smoker depending on mood…
I have to admit, I’ve had a lot of fun learning to cook on the kettle!

That setup is from the person who sold me my Performer. I did notice that he does not have the lid bail, which I found curious unless it’s purely a dedicated smoker.

Cooper is about as close as you can get. I would have liked orange too. I would have loved a glossy primary color orange across my collection. Since that's not available, I picked up Copper across many kettle sizes in my collection... some new, most used.

Copper finish is glossy and has a bit of metallic fleck. When it's shaded, it has an understated brownish color which melts with foliage but when the sun hits it, it lights up more orange. I'm pretty happy with Copper.

Copper kettles, are fairly easy and inexpensive to find in the used marketplace. Even very old used colored kettles can often clean up to almost new with some elbow grease, razor, and fine steel wool. It is much, much cheaper to change out your bowl color with a used donor grill.
