My grill light tongs came out of the dishwasher missing the press in rivet for the hinge.






I thought maybe it was in the bottom of the dishwasher? Nope.

On the patio? Maybe...

Yeah, lucky I put off cleaning the patio. it fell out Friday eve. And was still there this morning.

Before you 'bang it in' put some kind of shim between the halves of the tongs or you're vulnerable to making it so tight you can't squeeze the tong halves!

I once took my fishing reels apart to clean them every winter. Invariably I would lose a small clip or screw into the carpet. So I bought one of those magnets on a stick that the roofing crews use to clean up nails that fall off the roof. I've found a lot of uses for it.
