Discounted "open box" units may include any of the following:

  • Slightly damaged packaging
  • Used for a sales demo
  • Small number of returns
  • A few with very minor cosmetic flaws
  • A small number of units are "refurbished" to like-new condition after very short-term use
While not the same as new, all units are like-new and still include a full 2-year warranty. In most cases, you won't be able to differentiate these from new stock.
 
I ordered a couple of Thermopop thermometers at $17.40 each (regularly $29 a pop, pun intended) - these are new, not open box or returns. One is for my son-in-law, but since I had to order two to get the lowest price I got myself one also.
