Not a happy camper

Gotta agree..... we live out in the sticks south of the Twin Cities metro. While we do have a local grocery store, prices tend to be rather high, with a limited selection. Fresh produce is really a crap shoot. While I'd like to keep the local store (it's a multi-state chain,) going, there are times that it's just not really possible. I should add that this isn't limited to groceries, but things like hardware as well.

The Wall of Marts..... closest one is 20+ miles away, and if I'm going that far, I've got better choices that I can make. I don't think I've been in one in nearly 10 years.

It's weird. I have a Super Wall Mart a mile away in Montgomery and a SWM 3 miles away in Oswego.
And right between the two I have a Sam's club.

Walmart and Sam's literally next door to each other. Sadly the Sam's club is getting VERY trashy like the Walmart. I am gradually moving away from Sam's as well because of that, and shifting nearly all my purchases to Costco

Wife does curbside pickup at Sam's, haven't been inside the store since pre pandemic.
Nice thing is when she orders something and it's not in stock they ship it to us for free.

Yeah then there's that. Although I never do curbside, well I take that back. It's how I picked up my MM Pellet grill. But, now I have that ZGill coming. 245lbs shipping free and got it half price to boot. Can't complain

We have three Walmart's within 9 miles from of our home. One super center and two regular Walmart's. All of which are very clean and well stocked. We have two Frys and three Safeways within reasonable distances from us.
Even though Barb works at Safeway we do most of our grocery shopping at Walmart as their prices are more reasonable.
With Barbs employee discounts and special offers for employees we get some great deals espically on meat. The discounts on meat really help as I don't care for Walmart's meat. I do agree with Bob Bailey that Walmart's Great Value store brand is quite good compared to other store brands, very comparable to name brands.
