So for the last 2 weeks it's been impossible to find heavy cream or even half and half. Anyone else noticed this? Finally found some at my local Schmuks but holy smoke EXPENSIVE

I haven't looked in a week or so (a quart of half and half lasts me almost a month), but am going to the store tomorrow and will try to remember to check the stock/prices.

I hope the viral TikTok viral cinnamon roll hack hasn't been the root cause (but they are good!)

We’re in some kind of egg shortage here. No 5 doz white shell egg as at Costco for a month now and limit of two packs, 24 in a pack, per check out.

The only heavy whipping cream I've seen in a couple of weeks is pints at about 80% of what quarts usually cost. Eggs are expensive but there are plenty. All cage free of course since they come from Calif.

No egg shortage for me. I buy from a local guy that has his own flock of free range birds. Not cheap but eggselent :D quality. What's cool is he even gives me the eggs all cleaned. Unlike the last grower I was buying from where I got them full of well.......................you know.

I‘ll probably jinx myself, but I’ve had no problem getting the Walmart brand heavy cream, which we use for our coffee. It has gone up in price, it used to be $3.12 per quart, now it’s $4.68. I’ve noticed spotty supplies of various groceries all around since COVID. One day no chicken, the next day no eggs, etc.
I‘ve also been substituting with Kirkland’s Irish Creme. That stuff is something.

Costco's branded tequila, Anejo, went up 30% from $20 to $30 this year. glad i had 6 bottles on hand at the $20 price. dang. margaritas just went up at my house. i'll offer them for $15 instead of the $10 i previously had o_Oo_Oo_O

The regular Wegman's brand half and half was empty today, but all other cream, half and half, etc was in stock and prices seemed to be the same as they've been in the last few months.

I either use half and half or heavy cream in my coffee.
It‘s not always available and sometimes there is that organic stuff at 4 times the cost.

I don’t trust it when they say organic.
I’ve seen venders at the farmers market selling local organic tomatoes in the winter here that looked identical to the vine ripe tomatoes in side the grocery store right next to the farmers market.
One of my hobbies is being a bee keeper.
There is no such thing as organic honey and yet you see organic honey signs.
