No big WSM sale this year?

Anyone have an idea is the WSM is going to go on sale this year? last year it hovered around 325 every seemingly from may to january. This year there has only been one price drop on amazon and that was just a couple bucks for a few days.
 
Yeah, I've noticed the same. Only time the price changed was when it was a different seller, but then you had shipping, so it netted the same. I feel fortunate I bought when I did
 
There are amazon price tracker websites so you can follow the whole history of the 22wsm on amazon. I heard a rumor that weber only allows retail stores to have 1 sale a year (from a guy at Bachmanns) and I wonder if they put the kiabosh on amazon selling below msrp.
 
I was frustrated when the 20% off patio and garden discount at amazon excluded weber products. after seeing what they previously went for, its tough paying full retail
 
Check out local dealers in your area. I got my 18 1/2" WSM for $279 and my 22 1/2" WSM for $349 locally here. Not a great price, but better than full retail and I gave the business to a small, local guy.

Keep looking through this web site and Amazon A small way for us to "pay back" for use of website That being said money is money and looking for deals makes sense Don't be afraid to look for "used" on the Amazon web site- Basically these are returned ,unused or the packaging is distressed I bought one through TVWBB/AMAZON and got it for $274 with free shipping and no tax at that time !!! there was a description in the Amazon info that outlined condition- as new - and that is exactly how it arrived So keep looking here as well

I've seen the same thing here in Newnan (south side of Atlanta). Last week I got a 22.5 OTG for $128.99 at BJ's here in Newnan. However I just ordered the WSM 18.5" from Amazon through this site for $299 no tax and free shiping.
 
Or just watch CraigsList like a hawk and score one there. I've done both - bought new and on CL. Bought a used 22.5" WSM for $250 and a new 18.5 last year, during the Great Home Depot Clearance, for 60 bucks. Have since sold both.

They will show up on CL sooner or later. No more value in a newer one, other than being "new". After a few smokes it won't make a difference anyway.
 
As a test, I looked up a WSM and found 1. It was $250 on the north side of Atlanta. For a $50 savings and for me to travel to the Evil North Side, not worth it!
 
A guy on one of the other boards just posted that he'd score an 18 WSM at HD in Collinsville, IL for $39.99. Didn't say if the HD had more, just that it was in the bargain area with no price on it. He ask a manager and got it for $39.99. I know of 3 Home Depots around here but none of them carry the WSM anymore and haven't for about a year.
 
I cant believe some of the prices ve seen wsm's go for on CL. saw a 22 with what appeared to be 100,000 miles on it go for 275 within hours of posting.

Never seen a wsm at a store up here

I'm that guy. It was the only one they had. I think it was just one that was returned or a special order that was not picked up by the customer. Last time I saw a WSM at HD was last fall when the got rid of all of them for $46 & $54 each. Maybe it was one of last years that was tucked away in a corner somewhere. Who knows.
