NIB Early 1970's Red Kettle and Work Table

Picked up this NIB early 1970's red kettle and work table a few weeks ago. Both items have been sitting in a basement for 40+ years.




















 
I may be in the minority, but there's no way I'd cook on that! Too many used cheap 22.5s on CL to dirty up that beauty. :cool:

Great find .............. since I'm in the Atlanta area I'm annoyingly curious about how you came about it.
 
I found it in the Mid-Atlantic region. The seller's uncle bought the grill and work table as a gift for his father (seller's grandfather) in 1974. The grandfather did not get a chance to use the gift as he passed away shortly after the purchase. The set has been sitting in the uncle's basement all these years. The uncle recently downsized and the seller (grandson) sold the set.

I have a few reds that are in the cooking rotation. This set will remain in unused condition.

That may be one kettle Weber wouldn't mind having back in it's hands, to put on display at it's headquarters or in its Chicago or Indy restaurant.
