New (to me) / Used 22" Kettle OTS - NY Strips

Bought a Weber 22" OTS from Craigslist for $60. Been lurking around for one for awhile. No dents, shiny and basically already broke in. Well I needed to break it in - I had to buy some steaks.

Usually I get Rib Eyes but at $14 a pound, I tried something I have not had in awhile. I chose NY Strips because they were nice and thick. I figured that would be best.

Well, it's been awhile since I charcoal grilled. I was just having fun.

My favorite steak is a ribeye but I really like NY strips. They always cut them nice and thick and typically they are a little cheaper. Great cook!

Steaks look very good and a nice clean kettle too. Ribeyes just went on sale here at $6.99LB, gotta get some in the morning.

The strips were much thicker than any steaks I've had in a while. Thicker = better steak ������
