New take on ribs

Smoked a rack of babybacks tonight. Glazed them several times with my brides homemade plum syrup. Nice profile, and a more subtle sweetness than the regular bbq sauce. I think with a bit of lemon or vinegar the flavor might be enriched even a bit more. That’s the plan for the next cook, have to see how it turns out.

That is one of the things I love about BBQ. No matter how good the current cook goes I look forward to the next time and what new things I can try.
I agree Mike. I quite enjoy trying new flavor combinations and experimenting trying to get that perfect cook.

Those look great, Tye, and I'm intrigued by the plum flavor on the ribs.....that sounds like a great combo with pork!!

If you feel like going even further astray sometime, I made this Ginger Mahogany Ribs recipe (a "Nature Boy" recipe that Jim Minion posted after making it) a while back, and they were really good.....and a great change of pace from the usual.

Nice job!
