New here and wanted to share photos of my first brisket in my new electric smoker.
This was my first time using an electric smokey.
10 hours with a mixture of mesquite chips and some apple pellets.
Homemade rub.
Small 4# brisket, low and slow @225.
Used some water for the first half to keep it moist but then decided halfway through that it was not what I wanted so I removed the water.
Strong smokey taste, which is how I like it.
I will add homemade BBQ sauce that will tame it down a little as my wife doesn't like the mesquite or strong smokey taste.
First photo is about 2 hours into it.
Last photo is finished product resting.
