This summer I discovered an interesting product at my local grocery store: big, thick matches that are specially made for starting charcoal and wood fires. You simply light one and place it on top of a full charcoal ring. I wait till a few pieces of lump are lit and then assemble the WSM and add my meat. The results are similar to the Minion method. The match burns for a full five minutes, produces no odor, and eliminates the need for chimneys, etc. I read on another forum that a similar product is put out by the Diamond Match Company in the States. If any of you can find them, I heartily recommend that you give them a try.
