New form of target practice

Looks like fun, but there's nothing like shooting at a twisting, turning dove or duck flying by at full bore.
And you get to eat 'em, if you can hit 'em. :)

Very true Bob, I used to go duck hunting when I lived in the Chicago area. Nothing beats nailing a teal doing about 60 mph. After that Mallards seemed like shooting down a cargo plane. Tried Dove hunting along the Colorado river in California, it would be funny if it wasn't so dangerous. One dove flys over and fifty guys blow it out of the air pretty scary.

Scary sounding dove hunt Rich.
The best shot I ever made on doves was three with 3 shots in a row.
First shot dropped 2, second one missed, third shot hit another one.
We used to save up our ducks and doves for a big barbecue.
I miss those days, but don't think I'd hold up so well anymore sitting in a cold blind for hours on end.
But I could handle the eating wild game and beer drinking part. :)

You and me both, I can't take the cold at all anymore.
My Dad and I used to go duck hunting with my uncle and his son. If it was a bad day for ducks my uncle would shoot a couple of mud hens (Coots). My Dad would just shake his head, never knew why until I tasted one. Yep tasted like mud. My uncle thought they tasted great, of course this is the guy that loved pickled herring and drank ten high bourbon straight along with the herring.

My guts just did a flip-flop!
I can't take the cold like I used to, but it's the heat that gets to me more.

Bored as heck in the duck blind one day, with no ducks in sight, a flock of blackbirds flew over.
My hunting partner up and popped one, and my black lab, Libby, made a perfect, hit the water with a leap, retrieve of it.

Here she was getting up in years, hunting days over.

Ducks are tough, but if you want to go after a smart fast son@$%^&%%^ go after Grouse in the North Woods. They will make you cuss more often than not. I actually made what is considered a rare shot a few years back before my #1 Brittany passed, a double on Grouse. Till the day I die that will bring a smile to my face.

Never hunted grouse, but I've talked to a lot of friends who have and they say the same things as you. Tuff to get them down. I'd be smiling too if I did a double on Grouse.
Really liked pheasant hunting too, so did my first Golden Retriever.
