Well i just received the New 2015 Weber Performer, Green I assembled it today took me about an hour. I took my time being very carefull .One thing i found so far was that this unit is really solid and the Kettle seems to be heavier then my Other 22in kettle.Overall this is one great looking unit.The grate is very heavy as well made and cant wait to cook on it maybe my turkey smoked lol we will see. Ill have some photos below to show what looks like . I also got the new cover for this unit, its diff Number then past covers make sure if you get it Weber gave me the number its 7152. Hope this will be helpfull

Only a day old and you already misplaced the removable timer?!?

Nice looking unit. Thanks for the cover number. My old performer is in need of a new one.
 
Dustin its 20 deg here no need to leave outside thermo , in Nev maybe you can leave it out but even weber as most others unless cookiong everyday take inside :) Thats why all my stuff is well taken care of . Thers have their kettle look like **** cause they dont take care lol Dustin i like the older covers seems like they were THICKER. They look like same size and i know Home Depot still sells the previous model. Check them first

Yes Rich, they would have to make a new cover if the bail stuck out any further. The old covers were rather snug on the older units, no way would they stretch over these new ones. I guess that they will discontinue the older cover, since the new one should fit both the plastic table models and the new ones.
 
Greg thats why if you get this new 2015 Model most stores dont know that there is a diff # cover for this unit. So thats the reaspn i called Weber to make sure.As you can see this cover fits Rather nice w/ little extra room.Loose fit. My older genis and kettle the cover was much thicker and really heavy duty. I think Webher is going cheap.Still textured cover but lighter.

Congrats! I am a big fan of those nice weber covers. I've had mine for several years now, it has held up very well.
 
If i wasn't holding out for a 26.75" version I would be extremely interested in picking one of these up in the platinum flavor.

Maybe my hope is in vain but time will tell. I don't really have the room for either right now so i guess it doesn't matter all that much lol
 
Josh the handle is excellent, its a little wider then other kettles . I have big hands and I can grab w/o any problems. The Kettle is much more weighty then past overall I love it
