Never keen on a Ranch till now!

I'm sure @John Burns would be able to confirm to whom the second one was sent.
My un-informed guess would be that Weber themselves kept it? But Weber would know where it went to.
I wouldn't touch that FB ad with a 10ft barge-pole! Avoid!

So there's a bit of an extra backstory on the Glen Blue Ranches.

When we were asked to make one for Tuffy we made 2 of them. 1 for our Grill Academy at Weber HQ and the one for Tuffy. Through a series of misadventures, they were accidentally shipped out via normal distribution and we could not get them back despite months of effort. We ended up having to make 2 more, 1 for the Grill Academy and 1 for Tuffy.

So, there are 2 Glen Blue Ranches out there in the wild. The one in the post could definitely be a legit Glen Blue Ranch.

The initial Glen Blue Ranches did not have the ash catcher coated in Glen Blue.

John, Mike noticed there was no handle on top were the first 2 made without a handle?

@John Burns
One more question John.
Why couldn't Weber get the two original GBRs back if they were sent out by mistake, did Weber not know where or to whom they were sent?
Thanks.
Given the amount of product we ship out on a daily basis, tracking down two specific units (even large Ranch kettles) was like trying to find a couple of grains of sand that were thrown into the wind. After many fruitless months, our logistics team came up empty handed. It also wasn't really a priority given that it wasn't a recall or anything of that magnitude.

Thanks John. (y)

Considering that the location of both Glen Blue Ranches are known and accounted for, I'd say there's a 100% chance that this isn't one of them.

Well, I know what I'll be grilling up and eating this afternoon. Hint: It's my words. I'm eating my words.
