Need Recipe Help for Fall Cooking Competition - RIBS

Need some help...

A friend of ours hosts a fall party where everyone brings a "fall-ish" dish to share and everyone votes on winners, etc. Lots of pumpkin dishes obviously, lots of desserts, soups, chili, etc.

I thought about making some Ribs with some sort of Fall recipe - Apple Cinnamon, Pumpkin, Apple Maple, etc...

Does anyone have recommendations? Whether its a specific recipe or just - what do you think would work and go well together?

How about something like a chili with smoked brisket? Chili is always a good fall dish and smoked brisket would add a wonderful flavor profile.
 
Bob - it's a great idea that I'm sure would be amazing. My two problems are:
1. It's a lot more work. not only making a brisket (which is more involved than Ribs) but also making a Chili as well.
2. There are always 2-3 different chili recipes at this event, so I really wanted to stay away from Chili...
 
Ribs look amazing! Keen to try this for Halloween I've got a can of Libby's pumpkin puree in the kitchen cupboard! :)
