Need grates but Uniflasy our out of stock and Quilimental are up to $63

Well, the bruce effect must have moved in on these. they are up to $59.99 now. Seems like a game of whack-a-mole trying to keep up with cost effective grill parts. At least the Jason parts list helps out.

I only used the uniflasy grates once on a rehab. I was not really impressed with the quality. Solid but crooked. Meaning the bars were not welded parallel. Plus the grates toggled in the firebox. The Qulimetal on the other hand are great quality. I still have one set I am keeping for a grill I still want to restore for myself. But I probably buy the uniflasy grates again for a rehab. Everything else is just too expensive.

I reached out to RCplane on ebay to see about getting some grates, been about a month, havent heard anything, do you guys know a better way to contact him? Thanks

I am glad I bought 3 when i did at $49.99. But they won't last long and I will need some more.

He's a really funny (weird) kinda guy. Does outstanding work but very slow on the uptake when trying to contact. All I can say is keep trying. I guarantee you will not be sorry

He is probably one of those guys that has more business than he can handle and doesn't have to be real proactive with customer care to keep himself busy. But, it is worth the wait IMO if you want top of the line grates and other parts.

Yup, but if you want/need his stuff right away then just go through fleabay (ebay) as your order will be processed quickly (if it's not a special order or request). Yah, there are fees and other stuff like that but I'm guessing he does most of his grill business through there.

Jason thanks for the link, I sent him a new message, hopefully he gets back soon

question: what grates are compatible, size wise, with an early 2000's summit 650? Thanks

When I contacted him I told him what grill I had and he knew exactly what I needed. However if he is not sure he will most likely ask for EXACT measurements of what you have, and what you want.

The early Summit 650 has grates compatible to the exact size of the Genesis x000 from the early 90's through early 2000's Not sure when they went to the alpha characters naming scheme. But if you truly have a Summit 650 why would you need RC's grates? They came with grates as nice as his from back in the day Weber cared more about quality
