Yes, it almost brought tears to my eyes it was so good
Timeline: Thursday May, 6, nearing lunch time.
Decision time: What to have for lunch.
Idea! BEEF!
Object of my desire: Prime Top Sirloin purchased at Costco.
Fire: One basket full of TJ's (Rancher) charcoal, stacked on top of other basket to get it near the grate.
Sides: Pugliese bread brushed with etc (below)
ETC: Garlic toasted in olive oil, and hit with some fresh gr. black pepper.
Yep, just meat and bread
On the grill, pulled at 122 internal:
On the plate (small plate) with garlic oil:
Results:
Well, I let my hunger take over the cook, so it was rushed, and I did it mostly direct.
Still up there with the best steak I've ever made.
The next ones I make should tell me if the prime is worth a buck more per lb. than choice.
First time using TJ/Rancher, and no real opinion about it yet.
Thanks for sharing my lunch!!
