My 14.5 arrived today!

It's my first WSM. Been wanting one for a while but couldn't justify buying one since I have a UDS and LGE. That's until I saw they had a 14.5 out. Perfect size for camping. At least that's my reasoning. ;)

Assembled it and noticed it has two gouges in the porcelain/paint on the middle ring where the dome sits. Called weber and they are sending a new one out and I can keep the damaged one.

Guess I can make a mini out of it?
 
Downside to a mini from the middle section is that the rim is the wrong way, the top of a Smokey Joe sits outside the middle section (or lower section) while the WSM it sits in the rim. that is why you can use it as part of a stack, but you need the top from the SJ, the WSM top won't fit on the mini middle section and vice versa

A newer 18.5" WSM water pan can be used as a lid for that center section (once you add a handle).
