Mr. Heater F276172 Propane One Pound Tank Refill Adapter

Anyone here use one of these things to refill disposable 1lb tubes? I'm considering it because the large tank is a pain to take camping when using the 220, I have a new Performer with the GA and my son is using a Charbroil Portable with the Boy Scouts.

Been using onefor awhile....works greatIf you want a full tank just put the empty tank in the freezer from 1 hour to over night.Set the large tank in the sun or heated room for abot 1 hour.Screw the adaptor and empty tank on ...turn it upside down and open the valve for about 1 to 2 minutes.

I don't like throwing away the empty cylinders. I use a smaller propane tank for camping. Here's one - small propane

Although high initial cost it will pay for itself in the long run.

Isn't that 5 lb tank what the older gas assist Performers came with?

My local pool store refills propane tanks and charges by the gallon. I think most uhauls also charge by the gallon. I'll post a picture, in my original post, later.
