More Facebook Treasure


 
Dunno, not my cup of tea. That cart would have to go, even if it was something made by Weber, and the Kettle looks abused, handle bent over and lid seems bent as well. There's been some pretty nice Weber Silver Kettles around here on CL in the $25 to $35 range. IMO.
 
I am not a big fan of these carts either but serious Weber collectors go crazy over these. They can easily fetch several hundred dollars. Maybe even 4 digit numbers.
 
Yes, that was a steal, even with a modern kettle in it.
Not far from where I live, had I seen it in time I would have offered $50 if they would hold it until I got there.
 
Guess I shouldn't be surprised. Especially having just been outbid on some Weber Plates to hang on the wall! Maybe I'll show this to my wife and say I wanted to buy it??? :)
 
Yep. It's a Seville Chariot. They don't pop up very often. Obviously, it would be worth a whole lot more with the original grill, but like Bob and Stefan said, the cart alone is worth serious bucks. Hell, some people put serious dollars in just for the restoration. Media blasting, powder coating, etc.
