Monday's Tri Tip and Tuesday's Burgers

Bob Correll

R.I.P. 3/31/2022
Daughter and family came to visit Monday, for son-in-law to install a new kitchen ceiling fan, and to have dinner.
The menu was:
baked potatoes (Idaho and sweet) corn on the cob, salad, leftover pulled pork, one lonely smoked sausage link, and a tri tip.
I went with the 26" kettle.

They are having a house built in Colorado where our oldest son and family lives, so every day spent with them is special.

Just Jo and I for Tuesday's burgers.
I'm guessing they were 1/3 lb each.

Cooked to 150, then rested gave me the touch of pink I strive for.

Thanks for the visit!
Better get your Independence Day menus planned, it will be here before you know it.

Awesome pics. The flavors nearly jump off the screen.

Interesting direct potato cook arrangement with the rack.

Good looking couple of cooks there Bob. I know what you're saying, with our kids in Cali and being so busy we only get to see them and the grandkids maybe twice a year when they can all be available and we can get out there.

Great job on the cooks Bob. Tri tip is perfect! Great burgers also. Never had PP on a baker but it looks good! Good point on the 4th menu. I was just talking to Kim about that this morning.

Bob, those are all awesome but I to will take your daughters plate. TT is perfect and the burgers are spot on.

Great looking cooks Bob. I like the grandson's plate. Where did you get the warming rack for the kettle? I'd like one of those, looks like it could come in handy.

Those two meals look like everyone had great food and a good time. It is interesting that the kids want parents to visit instead of them visiting you. We have the same problems.

I'm guessing hers was a sweet potato? Both plates & cook look awesome....

There was a BBQ joint in a far off land that had pulled pork or other (I think) baked potatoes - charged like $7 per but it was good and filled me up a few times.
