Made another couple mid week tasty treats.
Went for some Denver steak tacos with fire roasted salsa.
Made some fresh roasted peaches with a butter, cinnamon and brown sugar filling.
Had some treats with the 46.
Next was peach smoked meat loaf with cut off corn with gringo grande, salt, pepper, and butter and mashed taters.
Tonight was smashed roasted potatoes with a medium cooked JJ cooked 80/20 burger with fried onions. 1/3 pounds each.
These were all tasty treats, I was trying to find a way to drop my covid 15lbs I picked up..........:cautious:

I just roasted minis in a roasting pan for about 40 minutes with a layer of sliced onions on the bottom ( sliced like A&W looks like in their adds ). Added premade steak spice and oil.
Let them cool and then fried in a pan with coconut oil first then added butter for the last half of the cook on fairly hot temps, it doesn't take too long. Then I fried the onions from the potato pan in another pan, already oily enough, and they are pretty cooked already so it only took about 3 minutes.....the burger was a perfect medium and very tasty.

Thanks for dropping by!

Thanks, I have been making smash burgers straight since trying them out. Those are good and I thought I wouldn't go back but last nights burgers were to die for.....as much as I try to keep my diet in check, I have a hard time with fattier meats. I eat lean too but burgers, brisket, pork butt, things like that I eat too much.
I have cut down on how much goes in per meal, eliminated a lot of extra's I don't need. Fattier meats and the the old 5%....or 40% is where I am going wrong.
I lost 20 pounds before but I had to give up everything for a considerable amount of time.
Now I stay the same weight, just about 20 pounds over what I want to be......I have been bbq'ing with my Webers about 5 times per week since I got them in October. It all adds up right?

Too lazy to make a thread for a steak so I reverse seared a tomahawk tonight.
Wife made guacamole and we got some local made tortilla chips, I sliced up 4 different peppers, onions and shrooms and fried those up. Just a easy quick meal, left out the carbs tonight😜

The grill marks from tonight's steak are spot on!!! I love the sides. I think you and I are equally lovers of tacos and Mexican food. One of two places we went out to eat on vacation was an amazing local Mexican owned restaurants. We were the only customers who spoke English. We got some amazing food.

I agree with you 100%. We eat our share of Mexican food but lots of tacos for sure. You can do so many different things with taco's it's hard to stop eating them. We made the taco's on Friday night, we went for an hour drive Saturday at noon for lunch to a newly opened Mexican run Mexican restaurant.....I had the 4 taco plate ( the pastor was just amazing ) and she had Enchiladas and we started with Taquitos. So that was 2 consecutive meals. The tomahawk steak that same evening was destined to be tacos as well but ended up trying to be taco bowls but the food we had and the chips it ended up working out better being on a plate. None of it was planned to be that way, it just ends up being that way. We are also not a Mexican or Latino heritage. The love for this food is real!

Makers Mark I share with friends. Makers 46 I keep for myself.

Looks's good, I thought I was the only one that enjoy's Makers 46!

I don't get to have this tasty whiskey very often. I have to travel at least an hour just to hope to find it.
I am willing to share, but being a non Canadian whiskey I don't have a lot of people close to me that enjoy it. The MRS. however likes it as much as I do.....:cautious:
LOL......it's nice to have a whiskey not by yourself for sure though.
