For those out west, Winco has had Morel brand spares for $1.88/lb. and bone in butts for $1.78/lb. for the last month or more. Both frozen and the ribs required very little trimming. Just picked up a butt and 3 slabs last Wednesday.

Jewel ( Albertsons ) had them a few times this year for that price.
But they are enhanced and usually have a limit of 2 and you need to use a digital coupon.
I bought a few for tacos, carnitas.
I like the all natural ones from Meijer for pulled pork.

You're right about that. Even if inflations goes back down to normal, the new $ .99 will be $1.49 or more.

My local Harris Teeter has Smithfield butts for 99 cents a pound almost every month.

No, they are bone in and all natural. They tend to run this sale monthly.
