Going native tonight, so you guys get the actual dish names. Didn't put anything on the grill but I'm hoping Chris will let me slide. :)

Kaeng Som (soup on the left), Tam Maak Hoong (papaya salad in the back), and Mee Kop (main dish up front).

Kaeng Som. Grape tomatoes, Chinese chive, cucumbers, chicken broth powder, black pepper, salt, and tamarind powder. This is a sour soup, with an almost Lima bean flavor. It's very distinct. The tamarind powder is also great for making fish soup.

Mee Kop. Pork and beef sautéd in a brown gravy sauce, along with veggies (Chinese broccoli, broccoli crowns, baby carrots, baby bell peppers), served over crispy noodles.

Mee Kop is an awesome dish, deep in flavor. Hard to explain but it also satisfies my hunger for a fried dish but is still very light. I'll post up the recipe when I've got more time, currently watching Back to the Future II. Pretty sure I just saw Apple Pay in action before anyone not named Steven Spielberg had even thought about the idea. Thanks for reading.

Happy hump day.

OK Teddy. Where is your restaurant? That meal is gorgeous. Soup seems to be your specialty. Your location says USA, so I figure we could drive there. Another great job!

Cliff - Mi casa es su casa. I'm in Tampa, about as far away as you can get from CA. If you are ever in the area, let me know!
