Going to do a meatloaf this weekend. Any favorite recipes and tips to share?

Everything I have read has it smoking at 250F which seems too high. Share your secrets!

Cooking at 250F is fine. In fact I did a meatloaf 2 days ago and I ran at about 300-315 on my WSM, and it was plenty smokey. As far as recipes go I can’t really help you out there. Mine change every time I make one.

This as been a winner in our family. Tastes great smoked.

1.5 lbs ground beef or meatloaf mix
1 C soft bread crumbs
3/4 C milk
1 t salt
1/2 t black pepper
2 t Worcestershire sauce
1 t grated onion
1/2 t parsley flakes
Combine, mix well. Shape in a loaf and cook at 350 for about an hour. I will usually score the top and spread ketchup over the top for the last 15 mins.

Ok, this now means I need to make a meatloaf too! Spinning chicken, turkey something (Breast) another brisket, some Vortex wings and a sausage fest! You guys are killin’ me! I’m just screaming hungry now!!!
