Some off like Chinese brand two my buddy's had issues with their new units on like the second cook, they call customer service and were told of the battery issue. changed out to Duracell and all is fine so far and this was months and many cooks ago.
Tony they are a smokers best friend and work real good on Kettle cooks, you can even stoop to using in doors on not so good weather days.
