Do most have the eyelets I see talked about here ?

Do some of you run the wires under the lid ? If so will the lid do any harm to the wires ?

do some run the wires out the lid vent, seams like that's a little troublesome to do it that way.

Any advise appreciated. Thanks

I've used 2 Polders for a year and they seem to be going strong. Changed the batteries once. I also use a Maverick with no range issues, although I will say that my smoker sits close to my back porch door and there isn't much between it and the table on which I set the receiver. I have eyelet but usually run the wire under the lid, again with no issues. Just don't slam the lid on it and don't let the point at which the wire meets metal get wet. I have a therm in the lid so I don't use the smoker probe that much, but when I do I use the clip and point the tip of the probe toward the center of the grate otherwise you'll be measuring the hot air coming up the sides

I find the cables to be pretty tough actually. I have a few maverick probes,a couple NU probes. I ran them under my doors in my offset, never had any problems w/ them.

I have done it both ways, through the eyelets, and under the lid. As Dave G says, as long as you're careful not to crush the wires, running them under the lid works fine.
