Maple-glazed chicken: The Sequel

Last weekend I did some maple-glazed chicken and shrimp that turned out pretty darn good.

My in-laws have been staying with us for a couple of days and tonight my MIL requested "Maple-glazed B/S chicken breasts." I suppose it never hurts to try and win a few "brownie points" with the in-laws every now and then. So that's what we did. Here we go.....

Chicken seasoned with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and thyme.

Plated with long grain & wild rice, salad, and dinner roll. My MIL's plating skills are better than mine

Turned out really good! Brownie points were won! Hopefully tommorrow we'll be cooking pork steaks.

Thanks for looking!

Heartily agree!

Russell,

How did you apply the maple glaze? Did you brush with maple syrup while still on the grill, or after you took the chix off the grill?
Looks great.

Thanks Ray. On this cook, I removed the chix from the grill and placed them on the platter of rice. I then glazed both sides of the chicken and tented with foil until ready to serve. Once the chicken is plated, the glaze was then spooned on the chicken again. I think you could glaze while still on the grill if your chicken is far enough away from the coals. The glaze has lots of sugar and will burn fairly easily on the grill.

Here is the link for the glaze in case you didn't see it in the last post:

Cherry-maple glaze

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
