Is there any benefit to mixing lump charcoal with briquettes and then running the cooker using the Minion method?

I think, too. The Minion Method running perfect with briquettes, not else.

The minion Method was create for this stuff.

In the past I wrote to the forum complainin about the amount of ash I had usin briqettes. Jim Minion was replied su estin that I use a
50-50 mixture of lump and briquettes. This works
nicely. He also recommended the Minion method with a half full supply of lump. I have been doin this for some time. I am missin one letter on my keyboard. sorry about that...tom

i sometimes use a layer of briquets on the bottom then layer some lump on top of that...basically to keep the lump from falling through the grate.

That is the best solution that I have heard of for that problem.
