Just picked up a 27' Weber One-Touch BBQ last week and am looking to fire it up a couple times a week. Im sure in time it'll turn into more like 8-9x a week cuz im already getting hooked on it. I joined this forum in hopes of learning some cooking tips and maybe some flavorful recipes. Tony R sent me this way and im already excited about reading what others have to share.
Ive always liked cooking just havent gotten around to it as often. Not sure why it took me this long to buy a bbq, used to have one as a teen and all i really grilled up were burgers. I use just a garlic salt and bbq sauce for that and it turns out juicy and good. Looking to up my skill level and start grillin steaks and other random things.
oh, and seriously still trying to figure out the general temperature for low/medium/high heat. I read a lot of recipes and watch these videos that reference that. I made sure to get a bbq with a thermometer, i just need to know what im supposed to be cooking it at.
Im a huge sports fan and have only been to a tailgate party once. Now that i plan on learning some cool new recipes, im gonna have to buy a lil smokey joe and do some pregaming next time i see the Giants or Niners play. I dont like the dodgers, but i do like their fans. so if you're a dodger fan, dont try and keep your cool bbq tips from me. lets have fun cooking together!
