Long Time Weber Gas Griller, First Time Caller

Hello All

Greetings from the Atlanta area.

I just got my 3rd Weber gas grill.

My first was a Genesis Sidewinder E-320.

I then found a very nice Silver C in the recycling bin at the local dump, and it lasted me the last 10 years.

I've been looking for another good E-310, but time has taken it's toll on many, along with maybe not the best durable design for longevity, with the cabinet rust issues.

Anywho, I found a nearly new Espresso E-310 near me just before Christmas.
The guy I bought it from said it had been cooked on exactly 4 times, as he has several other smokers and grills.
As soon as I got it home, I cooked a big ribeye on it, and these pictures are after that.

Only bad spots in the cabinet are circled. Inside of doors have some very light surface rust showing.

It came with a tank (empty), and several grill tools in the cabinet.

Cost me $70, and I love it.

I'll be looking for tips to maintain it's current condition for the rest of my life, haha.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Jack, looks like you got winner there. Those are great grills, I have a NG E320 sidewinder also and it's pretty much my winter grill and outside oven in the summer. The Gen 2000 in the picture has been with us coming up on 26 years I bought it new in 1998. Living in the dry high country of Arizona rust isn't an issue. But there are many experts on the forum that who will chime in about the rust, I'm sure.

Welcome Jack.

Looks to be in good shape except for a little surface rust. If it were mine, I would dab on some little rust reformer for the winter, and then next year when the weather is good do a better job of sanding, priming and painting. of the frame.

Rustoleum Massey Ferguson Gray is a good match for the 300 series gray color.
