Lil bit O Catfish from MS With a Big Ole Moon

Nice job on moonlight cats there Glenn - Also nice job on the Cabbage. I've been threatening to do that but slips my mind and I really like cabbage. Glad to see you got the pix thing straightened out. Good post. Bob

I'd Howl for some of that good southern cookin' Glenn!

Doin' some cats tonight myself, maybe try the fry on the grill.
Did you have trouble getting/keeping the oil up to temp?

Well done!

Bob, do you have a Cast Iron Dutch Oven? Maybe try the DO directly on a bed of coals. I've seen some folks complain about getting the oil hot enough on the grill grate. I've not tried it yet, but I just finished reseasoning a great CI dutch oven from my Dad's barn.

Let us know how it turns out!

Bob I put just enough oil to coat the pan, dipped the fish in melted butter, seasoned then threw in the skillet.

Kinda like blackend just not as much temp.

It was very good, simular to broiled texture wise but o so much more flavor from the kettle.
