Lid Scratches Fix?

I’m looking for a “minimal effort, maximum result” solution here if possible.

If I can make it look better with tools i already have, great. I’m not going to go buy new tools (but accessories, maybe).

This lid has these scratches.
I have rubbing compound, pads, and a random orbital sander (but no foam pad for it).

Is there a way to remove or reduce these scratches with what I have?
What would the process be?

Or are there other accessories I could purchase to fix it? Thanks.

You could try that but, remember the lid is porcelain enamel (glass) so, be very gentle, personally…I’d live with it.

Thanks, that’s another aspect, I don’t want to make that one spot stand out more (color difference, etc.), and I don’t want to do the entire lid.

I have tried most everything auto-paint related possible... no real improvement that was worth the time/effort on the lids.

I agree, either replace the lid or live with it.

There are polishing compounds for glass. IIRC Serium Oxide is capable but don't quote me on it. But, anything capable of polishing glass will work on the lid

Polishing it will be a monster project, several grits of compound, thinning of the area, possible mistakes? Find a new lid or live with it. It’s a maroon lid right? Drop barbecue sauce on that end and no one will even notice

I've been looking for a nice lid in that color for a long time. If color is no object, then yes.

It has to be a Platinum series lid and in flawless condition.
