These are very cool. The idea of frying a turkey terrifies me, but the results look incredible
3 and a half minutes a pound, you could do 4 minutes and be ok.
Enough oil to just cover the bird, roughly 4 gallons, maybe 5.
350 degrees on the oil, nothing to worry about 😁
EDIT=we maintain 400 on the oil.

While the turkey is still in its wrapper put it in the pot and pour just enough water to cover it. Remove the bird and mark the water level with a pencil.
Dump the water and dry the pot and now you know the exact amount of oil to add.
