Late to the party - Thanksgiving

Being new to the forum and late to the party, I thought I would share my Thanksgiving with you folks.
The story starts in September when the NM green chiles arrive at dads house. They are roasted and frozen for the year.

They eventually make their way into the chorizo which inevitably ends up in our stuffing. A cornbread, sourdough, apple cider, chorizo and kale stuffing.

The bird is brined overnight and rubbed with spices and sealed with a kiss. A time honored tradition of me loving my food. I assure there is no hair on the bird when this is done.

Onto the OTS and cracking a beer. I was posing for friends who could not be with us.

A well rested bird. Because the baster does not fit through the grate, we make a habanero maple glaze. Which eventually goes to the sandwich but that is another story.

Whatever stuffing does not go into the bird, ends up in patties and goes on the grill for "hard stuffing patties". Grandma's idea but I took it to the grill.

Here we are plated with smoky turkey gravy. The green bean casserole is revamped with homemade mushroom soup and fried leeks instead of onion

Wait until you see the sandwich that comes from this mess...

Chris, Chris, Chris. You've been holding out on us. I see you joined in December. That means you've been sitting on these photos for at least two weeks. For shame!

Seriously, that looks like a killer meal. Unbelievable. I'm sitting at my desk with my mouth watering, watching the clock tick by and waiting for lunch.

Good looking meal Chris... But why were you holding out on us? I forgive you but don't do it again :)
