kink in a propane hose on the low pressure side

I bought a gas burner for my ooni karu 12. New, original box from a reputable local retailer. The hose was zip-tied tightly in the box and there are a couple of kinks in it. I cut the zip ties and left it at room temp for a few days, yet the kinks have not relaxed back to normal.

Anyone have an opinion if this will reduce gas flow? Spec's list the burner at 5.3 kW or about 18,000 BTU.

It may. There is usually a nylon lining and it's likely kinked internally

I ran it for a few minutes yesterday. I didn't have anything to cook so I didn't measure time to get to temp. They claim 850F in 25 mins. I guess I should find something to cook on it.

I have a spare long hose with a regulator so I might try an A/B test. It looks like a standard 3/8 flare fitting to the burner.
edit: it is listed as a 28 mbar regulator which I think is a standard 11 inch WC

I'm am disappointed that they would package it this way.

A couple of ideas:

1. Contact Ooni. Maybe they will offer a replacement.
2. Put a hose clamp on the kinked area.

Before I contacted Ooni I wanted to ask here as I value the opinions and experiences.

I also remembered the orifice sizes from my E330 comparison, and they are pretty small. IIRC each main burner on the E330 is 12,667 BTU.

I'll do a temp test with it and if I can get 850F in 25 mins I'll just cook some pizza and call it a day. I guess it's time to make more dough.
