Kettle pizza with wsm

Hopefully this is not a dumb question. Is there any negative effects on my WSM by using the high temperatures needed with the pizza kettle. I was wondering if it will mess up my seasoning

Not sure how hot you can get the WSM, maybe consider running the pizza kettle without the middle section of the WSM if that is possible. Or, you can do what I did and just pickup a kettle on CL for $20-$30.

I had my upper rack at 600+ degrees last weekend doing wings. Removed the defuser, made a bed of Lump and added a couple small logs of Pecan. Plenty hot to cook pizza

I don't know what affect if any, on the "seasoning" of your WSM by running high heat. Mine still smells like a smoker after running it at high heat

James I would love to that and have looked but I think the wife would kill me, not because of the money, just because the space.

Enrico ya that's true I just didn't want to have to re season my smoker every time I make pizza.

Chucko. Thanks that's encouraging news
