Keeping Canadian Bacon


 
It was loin that I cured & smoked myself. My wife & I ate from it for 5 weeks and we're good. All gone now. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I wouldn't want to go more than a week with purchased bacon.
 
Yeah there are variables but it will start to turn after one week so freezing it changes the whole question.
 
It's pretty much ham, and if cured and smoked properly, I would figure 3 weeks at the very least.
I've gone much longer.
For those saying one week, check the 'use by' or 'buy by' date on anything cured at your grocery store.
That's why curing/smoking was invented. :)
