Perfect reminder Rolf.
I paid my respects this morning to my best friend, and his fellow comrades.
God bless them all.

That first photo really hits home. I was maybe 10 when our neighbor's son was killed in Viet Nam. I swear his girlfriend did the exact same thing the first Memorial Day weekend after his death. The heart breaker of it all.... She never got married, she died his widow. It's very sad. Servicemen who lose their lives, their loved ones lost the life they could have had. God Speed Phil, I hope you two are now together in Heaven

Here is to those who never came home, and to their families and friends, and to those who served and made it back.

That is one of the most powerful photos that I have ever seen.

So Sad. I lost my brother in Nam (Quang Tri) in 1968. He was 19, and a proud Marine. He died Memorial Day weekend and every year Memorial Day is a reminder of those that served and did not survive.
God bless them all - as well as all of our vets!

Lost a few friends in Nam and I always think of them on Memorial Day and all the vets and those serving today.
